Barcelona vs Juventus EUFA Champions League live stream

The La Liga giants will face the Italian champions in a quarter-final tie under the guidance of an official who oversaw their 4-0 defeat in France

Barcelona will run into a familiar face when they face Juventus in the Champions League quarter-finals, with Szymon Marciniak appointed to officiate the first leg.

UEFA have given the Polish referee the honour of taking charge of a heavyweight last eight showdown in Turin on Tuesday.

An experienced operator, Marciniak has already overseen one eagerly-anticipated fixture for Barca in Europe this season.

Unfortunately for the La Liga giants, it was an evening that they are keen to forget.

Luis Enrique’s side travelled to France for the first leg of a last 16 showdown with Paris Saint-Germain and slipped to a 4-0 defeat.

They were able to turn the tie on its head in remarkable fashion at Camp Nou, but will be hoping to avoid leaving themselves so much to do in their next continental outing.

Marciniak has also taken charge of a high-profile away date for Juve in the Champions League this season.

He was the man in the middle as the Bianconeri edged out Lyon 1-0 in the group stage back in October.

Juve were done few favours that night, as Mario Lemina saw red and Gianluigi Buffon was forced to save a penalty from Alexandre Lacazette, but they will have fonder memories of the Polish team of officials than Barca.
